What Is Data Storage and Function of Data Storage:
Data Storage, often called storage or memory. Is a technology consisting of computer components and recording media that are used to retain digital data. Storage is frequently used to describe the device and data connected to the computer through input or output operations that is, hard disk and other forms of storage that do not include computer memory and other in computer storage. Function of Data Storage:
A primary storage device is quite smaller in size and it is designed to capture or hold data for a temporary period. Primary storage often referred to simply as memory is the only one directly accessible to the CPU. Example is RAM and Cache memory.
Off Line Storage:
Offline storage is used to transfer information, since the detached medium can be easily physically transported. Offline storage is a computer data storage on a medium or device that not under the control of a processing unit.
